Why Now?

In Zimbabwe, Plan International found that 5% of girls dropped out of school due to period poverty. This gap in education negatively impacts women’s employment opportunities, in a country that suffers from one of the highest unemployment rates in the world. Consequently, from a very young age, girls are faced with an economic disadvantage, which they carry through their lives.

Sustainable Impact

Through this venture we are:

  • Creating new employment opportunities for women in rural communities to provide them with a stable income

  • Supporting the local agricultural sector and textile industry

  • Providing affordable menstrual products to end period poverty
